One man killed in Highway 81 collision near Madison

One person died early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash 12 miles west of Madison.
Names have not been released pending notification of family.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a car was traveling east on Highway 81, swerved into the oncoming lane of travel and collided with a pickup. It happened shortly before 1:30 am.
The 83-year-old man who was driving the car sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old woman driving the pickup was not injured.
Three passengers in the pickup sustained injuries, one involved serious but not life threatening injuries.
