One new COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota; Brookings County moved into the “high community spread” category

One new COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Monday, the total is now 2053.
Active cases in Brookings County decrease by five and are now at 64. Six new cases reported Monday, bringing the total to 4333. Recovered cases are at 4232. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is now in the “high” community spread category
Statewide, active cases increase by 85 to 1355. Total cases are up by 182 to 126,925. There are 123,517 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by three to 73.
Sixty-percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
