One person injured in Volga collision

One person was injured in a traffic collision at Highway 14 and Caspian Avenue in Volga.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened shortly after 3:00 o’clock Friday afternoon.
A car driven by 33-year-old Michael Plummer of Volga was headed east on Highway 14 as an SUV driven by 25-year-old Shayn Palmlund of Arlington was westbound and turning south onto Caspian. Sebring says the SUV turned in front of the car and the two collided.
A passenger in the SUV, 23-year-old Keyanna Palmlund of Arlington, was injured and taken by ambulance to the Brookings hospital.
Sebring says charges are pending against Shayn Palmlund for failure to yield.
