Possible Elkton burglary is under investigation

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible burglary in Elkton.
A resident of the the 700 block of Elk Street returned home during the day Tuesday and
found the door to the residence open.
Someone had gone through drawers in the living area and departed without taking anything. It happened sometime between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm.
A similar incident had occurred Sunday to their vehicle but was not reported.
