Search under way for suspects who stole ATV and other items

Brookings police continue their search for a stolen ATV, trailer and other items taken from a storage unit.

Police say the theft occurred late in the afternoon of July 7th from a storage unit on the 1600 block of Western Avenue.

In addition to the Honda four-wheeler and 5×8 trailer, other items stolen included a Cub Cadet Snow Blower, Yard Boss Cultivator, a John Deere tractor weather enclosure, a sprayer attachment for the ATV and other miscellaneous items.

Video surveillance obtained from the area show a red 2002-2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck entered the storage complex and left at 4:50 pm with the stolen property. The truck has rust around the rear wheel well, tape on the rear brake lights, and a damaged rear bumper. The license plates were visible but police have discovered they do not match the truck and were probably stolen.
