There are 21 additional COVID-19 cases reported today in South Dakota, raising the total to 129. A second fatality has been reported in South Dakota.
There is now also a second confirmed case in Brookings County. The second is a case that had previously been listed as Kingsbury County but the person actually lived in Brookings County. Both people have recovered. The case was first listed Tuesday. Dr. Joshua Clayton, State Epidemiologist, says the “recovered” determination can come quickly, based on when the patient was tested and symptoms displayed.
There are 3903 negative tests and 51 people have recovered from the virus. There is community spread in 15 counties.
