Sheriff’s Dept. investigates burglary at county highway shop in Bruce
The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary at the county highway shop in Bruce.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it was discovered Tuesday that a door on the east side of the building was damaged. An unknown suspect or suspects entered the shop and stole a 10-drawer tool box.
Tools stolen include wrenches, a pry bar set and more. The cost to replace the toolbox and tools is estimated at more than $5300.
The burglary occurred sometime between Monday morning and Tuesday morning.
