Sioux Falls man injured in fertilizer truck rollover near Sinai

A Sioux Falls man is injured in a semi truck and trailer rollover southeast of Sinai.

Brookings County Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened shortly before 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning near the intersection of 459th Avenue and 218th Street.

Sebring says the truck, hauling liquid fertilizer, left the roadway and rolled in the ditch. About half of the five thousand gallon load of fertilizer spilled into the ditch.

The driver, 61-year-old Ronald Hansson of Sioux Falls, was taken to the Brookings with unknown injuries.

Damages and lost fertilizer are estimated at $58,000.
