South Carolina man facing felony drug charge after traffic stop in Brookings

Brookings police arrest an out of state man for drug and other charges after a traffic stop.
Detective Adam Smith says officers stopped a vehicle Friday on the 800 block of 3rd Street for a moving violation. He says “indications of criminal activity were observed.”
He says a passenger in the vehicle was in possession of more than three ounces of marijuana and a loaded firearm.
Thirty-four-year-old Nicholas Steed of Awendaw, South Carolina was arrested for possession with intent to distribute one ounce to one-half pound of marijuana, possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated, and committing or attempting to commit a felony with a firearm.
