State Health Dept. warns of potential COVID-19 exposure at Gary street dance

PIERRE, S.D. – State Health officials say that an individual who attended a street dance in Gary has tested positive for COVID-19.

The person attended the event while able to transmit the virus to others. That person was at the dance from about 10 p.m. on July 4th through 2 a.m. on July 5th.

Due to the risk of exposure, anyone who attended the event during that time should monitor for symptoms for 14 days.

A CDC screening tool is available at COVID.SD.GOV, which can help recommend when to call your medical provider if you develop symptoms.
