Storage unit burglary reported in Volga

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a storage unit burglary in Volga.

Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it was reported Sunday and had happened sometime between April 11th and Sunday on the 300 block of US Highway 14.

It appears a lock was forcibly removed from a unit and over $16,000 worth of property was stolen. Missing items include a 30-horse boat motor, trolling motor, fish finder, motorcycle parts and remote control airplane parts.
