Ten COVID-19 deaths reported over the weekend; active cases fall below 2000

Ten COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota since Friday. The total is now 1863.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 10 to 74. New cases increase by 12 over the weekend to 3564. There have been 36 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3454 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 122. The County is in the substantial community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 62 to 1966. Total cases have increased by 286 since Friday to 111,304. The number of people who have recovered is 107,475. Current hospitalizations decrease by 1 to 90.

Some 184,841 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 122,625 people. A total of 4862 doses have been given in Brookings County to 3262 people.
