Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday, the total is now 1973.

Active cases in Brookings County drop by 9 to 82. Total cases increase by 11 to 4195. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 4076 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 153. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 67 to 1445. Total cases increase by 229 to 122,974 (Today’s numbers to include some from the weekend not previously added in). There are 119,556 recovered cases. Current Hospitalizations decrease by 2 to 103.

Fifty-five percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 602,026 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 331,038 people. A total of 23,086 doses have been given in Brookings County to 13,475 people.
