Three people injured in crash near Hayti

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Hayti Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 4:25 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 81 and SD Highway 21.
The Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office says the Jaws of Life had to be used to extract two people from one of the vehicles. All three people involved received injuries and were taken to the hospital. According to the Sheriff’s Office, two of the people have life-threatening injuries.
The Highway Patrol is investigating.
