Three people killed in three separate South Dakota traffic accidents

The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports three people died in separate crashes this past weekend.

One person died Friday night three-miles south of Cheyenne Crossing. A side-by-side was towing an inoperable side-by-side. There were two people in each vehicle. The vehicles went off the roadway on a curve, struck a tree, then rolled over down an embankment. The man behind the wheel of the side-by-side being towed was killed in the crash. The other three were injured.

One person died Saturday evening in a single motorcycle crash two-miles west of Kimball.
The cycle, pulling a trailer, had a flat tire while traveling on I90. The motorcycle and trailer began to fishtail, went out of contril and rolled several times. The driver was taken by Kimball ambulance to the Chamberlain Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One person died Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash eight miles southeast of Wagner. An SUV lost control on a gravel road, went into the ditch and rolled. The 63-year-old female driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

No names have been released at this time.
