Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Thursday. The total is now 2079.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by nine and are at 196. Twenty new cases reported Thursday, bringing the total to 4602. Recovered cases are at 4369. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category

Statewide, active cases increase by 243 to 6750. Total cases are up by 620 to 136,157. There are 127,328 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by three to 207

Sixty-three percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
