Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota today; 22 new cases in Brookings County

Two new COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday. The total is now 169,

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 15 to 167. The overall case count is up 22 to 362. There has been one death in Brookings County and six hospitalizations.  The County is now in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases went up by 125 today to 2875. Total positives increase by 254 and are now at 14,003. The number of people who have recovered is 10,959. Current hospitalizations are down by one and now total 77.

The latest information can be seen at the South Dakota Department of Health website.

On their dashboard, SDSU is reporting 102 total active cases, 98 among students and four among faculty and staff.
