Two COVID-19 deaths reported Thursday in South Dakota

Two COVID-19 deaths reported today in South Dakota, raising the state’s total to 64. One of the deaths was in Minnehaha County, the other was in Pennington County.

Active cases increased by four to 1020.

Total positive cases increased by 87 to 5247. The number of people who have recovered is 4163 and current hospitalizations are at 86.

There were 3876 new negative tests reported today, the most ever in a single day.

No new cases reported in Brookings County, the total remains at 20 with four active at last word.

The state Health Department website and other state websites have been down today. The new numbers come from a daily press briefing.
