Two injured in rollover accident near Bruce

Two people are injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident northeast of Bruce.

Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened about 5:30 Thursday morning but wasn’t reported until shortly after 7:00 am.

Sebring says a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Marvin Galeano of Bruce was southbound on 470th Avenue near 200th Street when he lost control and went into the ditch. The vehicle rolled several times.

When deputies arrived, they were told the driver and a passenger, 18-year-old Ervin Garcia of Bruce, were not at the scene but at a nearby farm. The two men were taken by Estelline Ambulance to the Brookings Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

Sebring says Galeano was issued a citation for Failure to Report an Accident Immediately, Driving without a Valid License and Careless Driving.
