Two men injured in crash at 22nd Ave. and Orchard

Two men receive minor injuries in a Monday morning crash at 22nd Avenue and Orchard Drive.
Brookings police say it happened about 10:45 am.
A car driven by 27-year-old, Dylan Rittershaus of rural Brookings was traveling south on 22nd at a high rate of speed. The car struck the rear passenger side of a small pickup that was turning west onto Orchard Drive. The impact ripped the box off the pickup.
The 58-year-old man driving the pickup was traken by ambulance to Brookings Hospital for minor injuries.
Rittershaus was treated at the scene by EMT’s.
Charges are pending against Rittershaus.
