Two men sentenced in 2021 fatal shooting at a Sioux Falls restaurant
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says two Sioux Falls men have been sentenced to prison after earlier pleading guilty for their actions connected to a 2021 fatal shooting at a Sioux Falls restaurant.
Twenty-two-year-old Isaac Mohammed Wal was sentenced Thursday to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Another 17-years was suspended.
Thirty-year-old Antoine Demetrius Richardson Jr. was sentenced Tuesday to a suspended sentence of 42 months in prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Both sentences were the result of plea bargains.
Both were charged in the November, 2021 fatal shooting that resulted in the death of 37-year-old Garang Hakim Aluong of Sioux Falls. Another person was injured.
