Two Minnesota drivers injured in separate Monday accidents in Brookings County

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department reports two Monday afternoon injury accidents involving Minnesota drivers.

The first was about 3:00 p.m. and involved a motorcycle crash east of Bruce. The cycle, driven by 63-year-old Alex Ginter of Stanton, was found in the ditch next to his motorcycle at the intersection of 204th Street and 469th Avenue. Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says Ginter did not remember what had happened. He was taken by ambulance to the Brookings Hospital. He was wearing a helmet.

The second accident happened shortly before 4:30, southeast of Volga. An SUV driven by 17-year-old Kendra Flaherty of Pipestone hit a gravel pile on the edge of the road which caused it to turn and led to a rollover. Flaherty was helped out of the vehicle by a passerby, then was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel and did not require further medical attention.
