Watertown woman indicted after shooting her husband in the face
A Watertown woman arrested last week for shooting her husband in the face with a .22 caliber pistol has been indicted by a Codington County Grand Jury.
The four count indictment charges 65-year-old Sherri Tormanen with Attempted First Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possessing a Loaded Firearm While Intoxicated and Committing a Felony While Armed.
KWAT radio reports that Tormanen was initially arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.
Watertown police were called to a residence on the evening of August 4th for a reported gunshot wound.
Randy Tormanen was taken to a Watertown hospital and later transferred to Sioux Falls for advanced medical care.
Sherri Tormanen is being held in the Codington County Jail on $100,000 cash-only bond.
