Weekly unemployment claims drop again in South Dakota.
During the week of July 26 through August 1, a total of 731 initial weekly claims for state unemployment benefits were processed by the Department of Labor and Regulation. That’s a decrease of 77 claims from the prior week’s total of 808.
The latest number of continued state claims is 15,643 for the week ending July 18, a decrease of 957 from the prior week’s total of 16,600. This is the number of unemployed workers eligible for and receiving benefits after their initial claim.
