Wires cut and stolen from gravel pit equipment near White

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of wiring and damage to equipment at a gravel pit west of White.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says mining equipment was damaged as several large diameter wires used to power the equipment were cut and stolen.
It happened sometime between September 2nd and Saturday. The pit is located on 203A Street near 476th Avenue.
Total damage from this incident is still being calculated.
