Economic Development Summit set for Brookings

Brookings area business leaders and community members are invited to join the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce and the Brookings Economic Development Corporation for the 2024 Brookings Economic summit. This event will shed light on the economic landscape of Brookings, featuring insightful presentation and discussions with local economic development leaders.

It’s set for Wednesday, May 1st from 7:45 am to Noon at Dacotah Bank Center.

Attendees can expect to learn about the significance of economic development in our area, the City of Brookings Economic Development Masterplan, and insight into the Brookings Economic Ecosystem. Discussion will focus on the strategies and initiatives driving Brookings forward.

Brookings Economic Development Director Tim Reed says it will also include a report on how economic development is going in the city. He says they receive taxpayer dollars and so they want to report on their efforts and results.
