Five COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday. The statewide total is now 2606.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by 79 to 1675. There were 106 new cases reported Monday, raising the total to 7531. Recovered cases are at 5815. There have been 41 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases increase by 1051 to 36,247. Total cases increase by 1887 to 218,543. There are 179,690 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by five to 392.
Sixty-nine percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fifty-seven percent have completed a vaccine series and 29-percent have received a booster.
