Juvenile driver arrested after pursuit ends with vehicle on fire
A juvenile driver is facing several charges after a pursuit that ended in fire early Saturday morning.
Police Sergeant Joel Perry says it was reported at about 12:46 am on the 400 block of 4th Street. He says a vehicle failed to yield for pedestrians, nearly hitting one of them. A police officer witnessed it and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled east and out of town. The vehicle ended up in the ditch where it started on fire.
Perry says the driver and two passengers got out safely and onto the roadway where they were apprehended by law enforcement. There were no injuries.
