Man killed in motorcycle crash near Rapid City

One person was killed in a Wednesday evening single-vehicle crash three miles west of Rapid City.
The name has not been released pending notification of family.
According to the South Dakota Highway patrol, a motorcycle was traveling westbound on
I-90 when the driver lost control and went into the grass median. The driver was thrown from the bike.
The 68-year-old man was taken by ambulance to a Rapid City hospital with life threatening injuries where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver was wearing a helmet.
