Man killed in single-vehicle accident near Kimball

An 84-year-old man died Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash west of Kimball.

The man’s name is not yet being released pending notification of family members. He was the only person involved.

The Department of Public Safety says a pickup was eastbound on Interstate 90 when it went into the south ditch. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the Chamberlain hospital.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
