BROOKINGS COUNTY (10-12-26) — A Hendricks, Minnesota man is injured in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash east of Brookings.
The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office said 53-year old Allen Moravetz was riding a motorcycle on 197th Street near 486th Avenue on October 9 shortly after 6:30 p.m. when he lost control of the bike. The sheriff’s office says Moravetz was transported by ambulance to the Hendricks Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies say the motorcycle sustained an estimated $2500 damage, and that Moravetz has been charged with driving a motorcycle without a license.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, the Hendricks Ambulance, Hendricks Fire Department and South Dakota Highway Patrol also responded. The incident remains under investigation by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
