BROOKINGS COUNTY (10-9-26) — Brookings County officials remind taxpayers that the second installment of property taxes is due by October 31.
Under state law, tax payments received or postmarked after October 31 are considered delinquent. Officials urge residents to plan ahead to avoid late penalties.
Payments can be made in-person at the City-County Government Center. The County Finance Office accepts cash, check and major credit cards. You can also pay online through the website brookingscountysd.us — or drop off payments in the drop box on the west side of the city-county government center.
Payments can also be mailed — please include your payment coupon with your payment. Payments must be postmarked by October 31.
