Nominating petitions available for April Brookings City Election

Nominating petitions and candidate packets are now available at the City Clerk’s Office for the April 9th city election in Brookings.
Up this year are the Mayor and Two City Council seats. All are three-year terms.
The current Mayor is Ope Niemeyer and the council seats up this year are held by Nick Wendell and Wayne Avery.
The deadline to file petitions is Friday, February 23, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. at the City Clerk’s Office, Brookings City & County Government Center. For more information, contact City Clerk Bonny Foster.
