One man killed in motorcycle crash near White
One person was killed in a Sunday evening motorcycle crash east of White.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, it happened shortly after 9:00 o’clock as two motorcycles were heading south on 486th avenue. The lead motorcycle lost control going around a curve near 204th Street. The second motorcycle rear-ended the lead bike. Both motorcycles came to rest in the west ditch.
The 29-year-old male driver of the second motorcycle was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 32-year-old male driver of the lead motorcycle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Names have not been released pending notification of family.
Neither driver was wearing a helmet and alcohol use is under investigation.
