Person killed in Kingsbury County motorcycle crash identified as a Lake Preston man

A Lake Preston man has been identified as the person who died Tuesday in a single motorcycle crash a half mile south of that town.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was traveling on a rural road and went into the ditch. The cycle vaulted over an embankment, throwing the driver.
Sixty-seven-year-old Phillip Howe was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet.
