Reward offered in cattle shooting

A reward is being offered for information on a cattle shooting earlier this month northwest of Brookings.

Three Charlois cows and a calf were shot and two of the cows and the calf were killed. It happened sometime during the night or early morning of August 3rd and 4th in a pasture near the intersection of 207th Street and 467th Avenue.

Assistant Brookings County Sheriff Scott Sebring says the owner is offering a $1000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.

The cows are valued at $3000 each, the calf at $1000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers at 692-STOP.
