Rider reports minor injuries after moped/SUV accident in Brookings

One person received minor injuries in a Monday morning moped/SUV accident.
Brookings Police Lieutenant Joe Fishbaugher says it was reported at about 9:30 at the intersection of Medary Avenue and 5th Street.
The driver of the SUV was not injured. The driver of the moped was taken to the Brookings Emergency Room with reported possible minor injuries.
The Brookings Police Department would like to remind everyone to look out for motorcycles, mopeds, and electric bikes.
They also want to remind riders to wear proper safety gear and obey all traffic lights and signs.
