Stolen pickup recovered in Brookings, tools missing

Brookings police are looking for information on the theft of tools from a pickup that was stolen and later recovered.
The silver, 2008 Chevy Silverado was stolen sometime after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night and as discovered missing Thursday morning from the 100 block of 2nd Street South. The vehicle had been left unlocked witht he keys inside.
The pickup was found by an officer on patrol on the 2200 block of 10th Street. Some $1000 in tools had been stolen from the truck.
