Three additional positive COVID-19 tests in South Dakota

There are three additional cases of COVID-19 in South Dakota. That brings the total to 14. There are now 663 negative tests and 270 pending tests.

Governor Kristi Noem says all three new cases are in Beadle County. She says they need to investigate if this is an instance of community spread, something not yet reported in the state.

She says they were able to process 94 high priority tests today.

Secretary of Health Kim Malsam-Rysdon says they currently have enough tests and supplies at the state lab to complete several hundred high-priority samples.

Noem says they hope to have additional supplies within a day or two. In addition, she says lower priority samples will be sent to commercial labs.

There are daily updates at the South Dakota Department of Health website.
