Three COVID-19 deaths reported Monday in South Dakota; Brookings County improves to “moderate” spread
Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday. The statewide total is now 2805.
Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 9 to 163. No new cases reported Monday, the total is 8058. Recovered cases are at 7845. There have been 50 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County has improved to the “moderate” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 273 to 5075. Total cases increase by 111 to 235,882. There are 228,002 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations hold at 171.
Seventy-one percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fifty-eight percent have completed a vaccine series and 32-percent have received a booster.
