Two businesses fail Brookings police alcohol compliance check

Two businesses fail the latest alcohol compliance checks conducted by the Brookings Police Department.

A total of nine businesses that were checked. The two that failed were Hy-Vee and the Pump N’ Pak at 202 Main Avenue South. Both sold alcoholic beverages to the underage buyer.

In these cases, the clerk is usually cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor and the business faces possible fines and sanctions from the South Dakota Department of Revenue.

This latest check was done last Tuesday.
