Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota’s final weekly report

Two COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday in the Department of Health weekly update – the statewide total is 3231.
There have been 257 new cases statewide in the last week and hospitalizations hold at 33. There have been 282,895 total cases.
In Brookings County, there have been three new cases reported in the last week, raising the overall total to 3,754. There are 22 reported deaths in the county. Currently, there are zero hospitalizations reported in Brookings County for COVID-19.
This is the last weekly COVID-19 report from the South Dakota Department of Health as the public health emergency ends today. There will be a simplified report released at the end of June.
