Watertown woman identifed as person killed in Highway 212 collision

A Watertown woman has been identified as the person who died Friday, June 23, in a two-vehicle crash north of Clear Lake
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a pickup driven by 64-year-old Karen Schliesman of Watertown was eastbound on U.S. Highway 212 when it crossed the center line and collided with the rear tire a semi-truck driven by 35-year-old Sergei Penrod-Curtis of Brookings.
Schliesman’s pickup ended up in a slough. She died from injuries she sustained in the crash.
Penrod-Curtis was not injured.
