Wayne Avery files to seek reelection to Brookings City Council

A third person has filed for the April 9th City Election in Brookings.

Wayne Avery has filed to seek reelection to the City Council. Al Austreim previously filed for Council and Mayor Ope Niemeyer has filed for reelection.

There are two City Council seats up this year. The other is currently held by Nick Wendell.

The deadline to file petitions is Friday, February 23, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. at the City Clerk’s Office.
