Wildfire in Custer State Park now fully contained

CUSTER, S.D. (AP) — A wildfire is Custer State Park has been completely contained.
Ian Fury, a spokesman for Gov. Kristi Noem, says firefighters were able to fully contain the fire Thursday afternoon.
The fire started in Custer State Park on Wednesday and burned an estimated 60 acres about 6 miles south of Mount Rushmore.
President Donald Trump is planning to attend a fireworks display at the monument July 3. Wildfire experts are concerned the pyrotechnics could spark additional fires.
