Twelve COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday. The statewide total is now 2742. Two of the deaths was reported in Brookings County.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 53 to 446. There were 11 new cases reported Monday, raising the total to 8022. Recovered cases are at 7528. There have been 48 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 1367 to 13,248. Total cases increase by 283 to 233,008. There are 217,018 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by 35 to 259.

Seventy-one percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fifty-eight percent have completed a vaccine series and 31-percent have received a booster.
