Brookings County Sheriff’s Department investigating stolen handgun

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a handgun.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says the pistol was left in an unlocked vehicle parked at a rural Brookings residence.
The 9mm Glock 19 pistol has custom front sights and was in a Glock case with three additional magazines.
The theft occurred sometime between August 17th and September 7th on the 1800 block of 16th Avenue West.
