Brookings man arrested in Roberts County stabbing

A Brookings man has been arrested in connection with a weekend stabbing in Roberts County.
Sheriff Barry Hillestad says it happened early Sunday morning when a fight broke out between two men at a home in Wilmot.
The homeowner suffered stab serious injuries to the torso from what Hillestad described as a “folding, lock blade knife.”
The suspect was arrested early that morning and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He’s been released from the Roberts County Jail on a surety bond.
The names of the suspect and victim were not released.
