Brookings School Board extends contract for Brian Lueders who had been set to retire

The Brookings School Board votes to extend the contract of School District Director of Business Services Brian Lueders for another year. Lueders had been planning to retire at the end of this school year.
Board Member Wes Tschetter thanked Lueders for being willing to stay another year. Tschetter says it will be an important year as they deal with the construction of two schools, bringing on a new superintendent and many other issues.
School Board President Keli Books also thanked Lueders for his decision to, as she put it, “un-retire.”
