Brookings Sheriff’s Office issues release on death investigation but it provides no new information

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department issued a release Friday on the ongoing death investigation.

That investigaiton began Tuesday, August 9th and is being conducted by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office and South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.

The release states: “All deaths are investigated thoroughly, and we want the public to know the investigation is ongoing. Due to this, further details cannot be released at this time. Furthermore, we want to state the public is in no danger.”
